About Pic2Vector
An on-device image to SVG converter with local-first privacy. Built for designers, studios, and privacy-conscious teams handling sensitive brand assets.
Open ConverterWhat we make
Pic2Vector traces PNG, JPG, and WebP bitmaps into layered SVG in the browser. The tracing engine is Rust compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside a Web Worker on the visitor’s device. Pixel data is processed locally within the browser session without mandatory server uploads.
The core browser tracing engine is powered by Apache-2.0 open-source technology. Tracing, quantization, and standard SVG export operate client-side.
Who it is for
Launch-month analytics (8 Aug - 7 Sep 2026, GA4) show most sessions on desktop Windows, with English as the second-largest browser language after Chinese. That matches the audience we care about next: designers and operators who value on-device security, or who handle creative assets under confidentiality agreements.
- Brand and UI designers who need transparent graphics as editable SVG in Figma or Illustrator without watermarks.
- Print and cutting workflows that benefit from generating vector paths locally before sending files to production cutters or lasers.
- Teams evaluating tools such as Vectorizer.AI - explore our Compare hub or the sourced Vectorizer.AI comparison page.
How we work (and what we do not do)
The browser tool offers an instant guest experience with zero signups required for standard exports. Conversion, layer edits, and standard SVG export operate entirely in the client tab. Optional, privacy-gated analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) record events such as upload, trace complete, and export - never image bytes or filenames. Preview canvases are masked from Clarity session replay. Details are on the privacy policy.
We do not claim that local spline tracing matches every cloud AI vectorizer on every image. Cloud tools may fit geometric primitives or extra formats (PDF, EPS, DXF) that Pic2Vector does not export. Try both on your own artwork before you standardize a pipeline.
